Things Get Dark When Whites Refuse To Tell The Truth

This is a country that's not currently in a happy place. I quoted Glenn Reynolds above, who is no Andrew Breitbart, pretending he doesn't defend white racists on the Right. Or that they - just the white racists - don't outnumber the black ones by 10 to 1, or have a long history of destroying black lives without compensation. Something I know, after reading him for years, Glenn's not particularly interested in. Let's compare:

Gee, you think that experience would turn people into  "racists"? And - more importantly - would they even be racists if that was the basis for their feelings? Or would their feelings be justified and, since they're forced to live without protection from whites, wouldn't they merely be looking out for themselves?

Ol' Glenn doesn't care, as long as you get your sheet and gun, and base your feelings on shit he talks. He's made up a narrative.

Glenn hopes any black person  dies "broke and in jail"? Please:

I think liars like Glenn Reynolds - who deceives white people and cause further problems for blacks - should be shot for the good of the nation,...

    You're publicly calling for murder?

  2. Sherrod is a piece of work, but then again, so is Reynolds. Both are great portraits in "how the hell did we end up in this mess?".
Part of the problem is that the "sides" are really happy and ready to call one a piece of work (hell, they love it! they love unleashing the dogs!), but defends the other as some sort of saint of the new prophecy, pure as the driven snow, compared to them soap is dirty -- and so they let one hustler go and keep on hustling, buy it up even, kiss their brass ring for telling them bullshit.

From here on out, looks like I'm back to saying to hell with anything but making sure me and mine are taken care of (family and friends in the long run are, truly, all that you can rely on -- and sometimes you have to watch even them).

I don't really care which way it goes, which side wins -- just as long as I can keep mine above water, that's all that matters (principles sure as hell don't -- greater good, my ass).

I figure the left and the right have both made their own buggy beds, let them sleep in them.

  3. Meade,

All of that and that one line is all you focus on? And how is Glenn's hope, for how Sherrod should die, somehow different from mine for him?

He is part of the "get your guns" crowd,...

    PW,

It's a sad state of things. Stay safe. They're nuts out there.

  4. "[H]ow is Glenn's hope, for how Sherrod should die, somehow different from mine for him?"

Read carefully: He is not calling for Sherrod to be assassinated. He's merely hoping that the end of her life finds her bankrupt and in jail.

On the other hand, you propose, for some kind of imagined greater good, that Reynolds be shot and, presumably, killed.

You ask what's the difference. And somehow we're the stupid ones?

  5. You're delusional - nobody called for anybody "to be assassinated" - you imagined that yourself.

I hope someone dies broke and in jail.

I hope someone dies rich with a bullet in his chest.

Yes, Meade, you can strike me as stupid. At best, both Glenn and I deserve the "stay classy" line.

But you're also a fine example of the thinking I'm commenting on:

It's GOT to be me, doesn't it?

And I'd bet a million dollars Glenn will never hear from you - just me.

I live in the echo chamber of cowards,...
