Bush II: Obama The Idiot (Winning From Losing Logic)

And no one will tell him. That's why, I suspect, when he went to check on the progress of the site's development he had no idea how to ask questions that would get at the reality of the situation. Bureaucrats, apparatchiks, and contractors blow smoke. That's what they do. Obama has no idea how to cut through the smoke. He thinks being president involves constantly going out and giving speeches to crowds that love him about how hard he's working rather than actually, you know, working. It's all very meta. He's playing president Obama because he doesn't know how to be president Obama. I think that when he went out on Monday and did his infomercial schtick in the Rose Garden -- Operators are standing by! It's not just a website; it's a floorwax! etc. -- he honestly thought he was fixing the problem. Well, I've done my part!

  1. Wonder how Oprah Winfrey feels about the "New Age" President now. I remember when you were on to that.

  2. The break between the Os is old news now - and something I suggested to Obama BEFORE he first became president.

Michelle is protecting her family, by keeping Oprah away, and I say more power to her.

  4. On second thought forget about it.

    It is not worth it.

You should take the suggestion and screen your comments.

  6. That he has made some breaks with some of his old associations over things is a point to his favor.

Even a person who does not much care for the president or agree with some of his policies should be able to say "fair enough".

That he has managed to piss off both Oprah and Ayers is a point in his favor for me. At the very least I'm certainly not going to be sad about it.

I knew many liberals during the Bush years who had to wrestle with many of the same things -- and the peer pressure from other, liberal friends and colleagues to find something good about the man. Some managed to make a clean break (and got chastised for it), some couldn't.

  7. I thought it might be good to post this as well:

    http://www.marxist.com/us-single-payer-vs-obamacare.htm

If indeed, our "marxist" president has managed to help us avoid the single payer/Hillarycare debacle (which actual marxists seem to love) in whatever fashion, then I have to admit I much prefer this to it having taken place (even if the blasted thing does need to be better...if anything due to the simple fact that by being better we might all avoid the single payer system, see: Britain).

And we had best be careful that with all the brouhahah over it we do not allow Hillary's grand plan to get enacted eventually.
