A person can believe whatever they want to -- that does not make it wise or possible.
I would like to believe that I'm 6' and ravishingly beautiful...but the wisdom of believing fairytales come true is open for conjecture (and perhaps it would turn out badly if they did -- I could wind up bumping my head or suffering nosebleeds at that height).
